Cremant de Die

Crémant de Die

is a traditional method sparkling wine made by the same producers of my Clairette de Die, and is part of the big family of French Crémants. It contains two grape varieties: White Clairette (70%) and Aligoté (30%). It is made using an analogue method to the one used for Champagne, the traditional method (second fermentation in the bottle).

 

Crémant de Die Brut AOC "Cuvée Chambéran" won Gold medal at the National Competition of Crémants in 2011 and 2012. It drinks very pleasantly, doesn’t have so many bubbles but really is full of flavour and freshness. It has a pale golden look to it and the taste can hint touches of apple and green fruits.

 

Definitely an elegant wine that makes a great aperitif on its own or as a kir with cassis for example. Or just serve chilled whenever you fancy it! It will easily pair with various dishes including seafood.
